Hi, I've been reading some posts as regards to the cccs dealing with creditors and forwarding the DMP money on to them. All I have received this morning is my expenditure summary and a draft letter to photocopy and fill in to send to the CC companies and the bank. I thought the cccs did this for you or am I missing something. Its only because i have read other peoples stories that i am getting confused about it all
Any help appreciated, thanks

Hi - i received mine on Friday - basically you have to send to the CCCS proof of all income you declared to them, i.e. proof of wages, tax credits etc , send them the last statement received from each of your creditors (or anything with your reference number with them amd outstanding amount) then you photocopy the letter and send with a covering letter and a token payment (whatever you can afford) to each creditor ............then await contact again from the CCCS - my DMP also starts on the 1st August!!
hope this helps

Hi dotty - thanks for the reply. They already sent my list of creditors list to me and just told me to send them to the creditors with my reference number s on them and wait for their reply to see if they accept, no mention of getting back in contact with cccs at all - just said photocopy the draft letter and sent to them all. You seem to have received different info.
Thanks again

Nope i think once you send them your list of creditors (and you write to them yourselves with the notification letter that CCCS are herlping you) then the CCCS will them reply to you - they have to do this at least to give you info and payslip to make your first payment - if youre confused give them a ring - they are very helpful!

Okay dotty, will send the letters and lists off to the creditors tomorrow and see what comes back! I wont hold my breath as its only £1 per month for each of them, thanks for helping.

Hi Pattie
I they have sent you a pack with letters to copy, it is probably because you are unable to pay more than a basic total payment of £1 after your living expenses. They can therefore not put you onto a debt management plan. That is what happened to me, but they said as soon as my income increased, to contact them and they would review.
There is some wonderful lady on here who works for them, so I am sure that she will be along wiht some advice.
Some creditors have been great, whilst others have continued to badger me for more than I have. I have changed my phone number so now they have no option but to contact me by letter.:D
Good luck!!

Thanks caleo, that explains it!, short of selling body parts, I can't see me ever paying off these debts. Yes - letters I can cope with but not the endless calls, even tho they are told time and time again I am trying to sort it out with cccs, I end up losing my temper which is not good.

Ooo - maybe i was gettin my wires crossed? Ive been accepted for a DMP with CCCS which is to start on 1st August (when my first payment to the CCCS is due). In the meantime i had to sign and return acceptance of DMP with them and send a copy letter to all my creditors informing them i am going on a DMP along with a token payment - I have done this today sending what i could afford. some £5.00 the most £20 on a debt that usually costs me £360 per month. The CCCS recomment trying to send some kind of token payment whilst your DMP is being set up - I halso had to send the CCCS income details etc...........have posted everything off today and just wait to hear whats next? dotty xxFocusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0
