Spelling, company names, or whatever are either right or wrong.
Pointing out they are wrong isn't ignorant.
Pretending it doesn't matter IS ignorant.

So can I ask about your use of grammar and punctuation then? Why the comma after the word spelling? Why use are instead of is? Did you mean to write:
Spelling of Company names or other words is either right or wrong.
Is it rude and ignorant of me to point out your mistakes here? I think so!:p

I don't understand it either?
Was the topup less then £30 and they made it up to £30. Was this a FURTHER £30 taken a few days later? Did they top up another phone with £30? Legal action for what?0 -
Not "rude", no, but all of your corrections are incorrect so I shall leave you to decide about "ignorant".Poppy9 wrote:So can I ask about your use of grammar and punctuation then? Why the comma after the word spelling? Why use are instead of is? Did you mean to write:

Commas separate items in a list other than the last two. It wasn't "spelling of company names", it was "spelling, company names or whatever" ... three things in the list. Like "Mary, Mungo and Midge went up in the lift".
Three items clearly take a plural verb.0 -

Sorry but to simple me that doesn't make sense. The word spelling is a verb so I thought that was the action you were complaining about. So from your sentence if you are talking about a list why is a Company name either right or wrong if you are not talking about the spelling of the name? Also what do you mean by "whatever" is either right or wrong? ""Whatever" could cover anything, including you or me. How are we either right or wrong?

I used my credit card to top up then there were three £30 credits to O2 taken then £456 to ShoeLocker, a £10 Sky Subscription..... caused me loads of hassle. Eventually I think I got it sorted with my credit card company but cost me a huge amount in phones calls and worry.0

2 things people
first of all markymark does it matter how it was spelt, if it was spelt 02 as opposed to O2, we would still know the OP was talking about O2, its a small mistake, dont waste yourt time pointing out silly mistakes like that,
