Just getting ready to go out.The mse person that I am rarely buys makeup now,and sticks to one or two good basics mainly with the occasional new product like eyeshadow.
On my dressing table I just spotted the most shameful purchase I ever bought. It made me cringe to realise how stupid I had been ..
It's a Shu Uemura pony hair blusher brush....about ten years ago when on holiday I bought it-I paid £50 for it!!_pale_ That was a hell of a lot of money then, it still is now!! A brush! What was I thinking!!:o
I think I was impressed by the shop and managed to convice myself it was a good investment. What is it beauty articles say "invest in good set of brushes",well its a load of codswallop .because free blusher brushes I have had are just as good, and no on ever died from a bristle falling out of their brush...
now----fess up to your foolish shopping

Well I didn't actually buy it, OH did and although it was with the best of intentions, it was of those desperate airport purchases that men sometimes make!
It was a mini Givenchy make-up palette and cost about £40, full of quite old-fashioned powdery products and colours actually. I opened it, dabbed around a bit with the brushes and that's it. So it's sat there uselessly for about 3 years. The last one I saw on ebay went for about £2  and that was BNIB.
I've just got it out again to look at .......I'm going to swipe the mini mascara from it to use if it hasn't dried up and put the palette in the charity shop bag.
WAWOM!
ETA. Yep! And the mascara's dried up now too!0 -
There is the Jaegar coat - pale camel coloured alpaca. Dry clean only of course and I'm so afraid of marking it I have never worn it. Still in its suit hanger with tags attached.
Although it was heavily reduced it was expensive - complete waste of money.0 -
Oh yes and OH once bought a £900 Donna karan goatskin jacket!!0

I bought one of those vibrating exercise plates last year... I've used it once and then never again. It's now sat in the centre of my room and I use it to hang my wet towels on.
I really should just get rid of it as I'm never going to use it, it's just taking up precious space.0 -
Interesting thread.
I bought some high heeled shoes in Spain for wedding that I haven´t worn again as they are too high and my feet were aching after only a couple of hours. That was 80 euros down the drain.0 -

Benefit makeup - Aside from the Bad Gal eyelinder and LemonAid it's not better than other, cheaper brands.

The entire contents of my bathroom cabinet
well not quite but my weak point is bath stuff. I went in and bought loads of Lush bath stuff on Friday and I have about a dozen unopened bottles of bath stuff in there already
Plus false eyelashes, shampoos, moisturisers...the list goes on.
i need to shop from home for a while!
on the plus side though, I wouldn't say any one item cost more than £5 and most prob around £30 -
Last week OH bought one of those hats with the fur flaps that are fashionable at the moment.I said to him "are you going to wear that to take the dog for a walk?" he replied "no,I'm not wearing it outside".hm. That means hes bought it so he can look at himself in the mirror in it but won't actually wear it.sighs and rolls eyes..0
