    Lou - well friends and neighbours are very good - but as he said on the phone to me this morning - although he has had his step- daughters with him for the last couple of weeks- it's not like having his own family around him. He was waiting for the undertaker when we spoke - he knows him so he was coming to the house which was good of him. The other step-daughter lives in Suffolk so she has gone home for now.

    Ellidee, if you just turned up at your bil's place, or said ' that's it, i will be with you tomorrow, no arguments' would you think that he would be ok?

    i know that often we say we are ok when inside we are crying out for someone to see what we aren't saying (as contrary as it sounds!) - stiff upper lip and all that....

    I told my Mum I think my sis is selfish! my exact words were her selfishness astounds me! and Mum just looked really uncomfortable - which I felt bad about and apologised for but I refuse to apologise for my original comment!!

    Yes I know. When he rang yesterday to tell us Annie had died I was all for going down then but my OH - his brother- is more reticent. They are best friends as well as brothers but my OH - well :mad: :(. To be fair I suppose he has to think about his job etc etc - but my opinion is stuff 'em - you TELL them I am taking hols/unpaid leave - but what can I do ? :(
