I've been bad and dipped into my overdraft this week so instead of the £40 odd I had paid off, I now have £3!!!! Payday Monday though so am going to transfer over enough to cover what I stole and up to the end of the month.
Have just had the dreaded gas and electric bills come through the post though so I expect I might be dipping into it again by the end of the next month!2019 will be my year!!0 -

I use a savings account online for this. It wouldn't work for me saving from cash I have as we only take out our weekly shopping allowance and no more. If we get to the end of the week and we have any cash left then we just take out less that week (ie week 1 allowance £45, spend £40 - so week 2 only withdraw £40 because with the fiver in my purse I have my £45 allowance). Therefore I never have 'spare' £1's to save.
However, what this challenge does for me is to make me log into my bank account each and every day and do a manual transfer to a savings account of £1.00 - and by doing this I am also checking the current account and everything that goes through each and every day and am therefore far more aware of our money (or lack of it:() than I ever was in the past.
I really do love this challenge...and whilst posting will report in that I am up to date with my daily transfer £52 in the kitty.NR [STRIKE]£5542[/STRIKE]£2771 BC [STRIKE]£7987[/STRIKE]£7700 BC [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£5100 Cat1 Pd Cat2 Pd Ulstr [STRIKE]£3400[/STRIKE]£3070 TSB [STRIKE]£4851[/STRIKE]£4400 MBNA [STRIKE]£7700[/STRIKE]£3887 NWst [STRIKE]£950[/STRIKE] £700 Hfx [STRIKE]£10097[/STRIKE]£10050 Asda [STRIKE]£398[/STRIKE] £315 HFX1 Pd Hfx2 [STRIKE]£3133[/STRIKE] £3000

Hi All
Just had confirmation that Simply Drop have given me £67 for my old mobile phones. Need to update total now!!:T
This is going straight in the tin and forgetting about. I feel lucky to be ahead of the game and the thought of the new telly for the family (bought in the sales Dec 10/Jan 11) will all be worth it in the end.
Keep going folks :jNil Satis Nisi Optimum
