Naah... they're no good to me if they're unconscious...!
Evening all - the weekend starts here... :j
Tonight, I shall be mostly delighting in the warm embrace of Prince Vodka - I don't really base my recreational consumption around lavatory 'enhancement' products... (well, not intentionally, anyway...).
Tomorrow I will hopefully (Jasper's whims permitting) AT LAST get my hair cut (saved enough pennies for a trim at long last - my poverty-induced DIY attempts have been closer to self-harm than actual hair-styling... _pale_) - and then, perhaps, some gardening!
In the meantime, here is Jasper's joke of the week:
I saw my mate earlier in town.
He only has one arm, bless him.
"Where you off to?" I shouted.
"To change a light bulb" he said.
"Erm, isn't that going to be difficult?" I said.
"Naah", he said. 'I’ve still got the receipt."
Have a FANTASTIC weekend! xxx

You're up a bit late, If... How's it hanging? Good day?
I'd doing a spot of late-night research - Jasper is snoring loudly... fortunately, this time, from only one end...

You wouldn't bless him if you'd ever smelled him...! I've had calls from the UN, asking if they can bottle his fart-juice and drop it on the Taliban...
Work was better than expected, thanks. I've been told that I'm the "even keel" that keeps everyone going and happy... And I'm the one who's had two nervous breakdowns and made three serious (and a few non-serious) attempts to end it all. In fact - and it genuinely says this on my medical notes (I found out when I was discharged from the psychiatry team's care :j:j:j:j:j) - that I actually would not be here today if it weren't for Jasper.
But - hey - I've come through it all and can even feel grateful for the experience, as it's left me with strength, wisdom and coping strategies which I'd never in a million years have had if I hadn't been so ill.
I do find it ironic that now, in a local government department, I am the one who's keeping everyone together and sane... What a world.
Having been through so much sh*te in my life to date, though, I find I am able to empathise and help others who find themselves in the place in which I once was, in a way I never could have before.
I was advised to look into MSE regarding bank charges, so I did (and got them back, plus compensation, eventually!) and have been here ever since. Here is SUCH a wealth of support, advice and camaraderie as is rarely found in life, let alone an internet forum! Sadly, I have also witnessed appalling abuse by trolls (they seem to be attracted to people on disability benefits advice threads... wonder what that implies on a deeper level...?), which is why I am keen to promote this thread. Plus, of course, the cheeky banter, hehehe.
I would be delighted to buy anyone on this thread a pint or several if I were to meet them. It's fun here! My level of humour as well (as long as I can restrain myself from being TOO cheeky!).
Isn't this a long spiel?! I should really be helping Jasper to write another blog entry - but I find that I am falling prey to increasing procrastination... So I'll lift him into the typing chair tomorrow...
Sorry to bang on. Bed time for me now. And so, I ask:
Nightcap: Mr. Muscle Pine Fresh? - Or the sheer, exotic, force that is Cilit-Bang?
Choices, choices.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks for reading - peace. xxx
