I think there is a way of creating a 'disassociation' with another. If you need to do this, contact the credit ref agencies to do so. I think a note is put on the file to this effect.I'll have to sort this out!:rotfl:0

https://www.econsumer.equifax.co.uk/consumer/uk/sitepage.ehtml?forward=gb_cpo_faqYou can apply for a Notice of Disassociation if there is credit agreement information on your Credit Report that relates to a person with whom you have no financial association. You can complete an on-line form by clicking here. Equifax has up to 28 days to complete the process of adding the Notice of Disassociation to your credit file.
You basically need to ring the 3 credit reference agencies, experian, equilifax and call credit, and get the Notice of Disassociation applied.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Yes, if you signed it to come off then yes, just as a back up do you have any proof of it? The bank would have to have agreed to take you off, as it would make the other account holder fully liable for the account.
If your unsure, you could SAR the bank. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=12547639&postcount=10Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
