Is there a way around this or could a kind person send me a direct link? Would be much appreciated, thanks.Yes this has happened to lots of us and as far as I KNOW there is no way round it
Sorry for quoting myself here but for those of you having the same problem I think I might've found a way (and also resolved some other difficulties I've been experiencing online).
If you go to the Microsoft Updates website and under Custom Updates select Updates for Root Certificates - this installs within a few minutes.
I hate missing out on bargains and have now sucessfully printed my voucher! Hope this helps others.0 -

Tesco wouldn't let me do this today in Leamington. The sa said I'm not letting you have it for £2.79 when you're not even paying that (as they are £1 each on offer). Who said it was going out of his wages??!!
This makes me so mad. The lady in Boots initially said I couldn't use my voucher because they were already on offer, I said 'so what', and asked her to scan it, it worked and I got the extra money off my shopping. Why are the stores all being so inconsistent and making rules up as they go along? !!0 -
Used my voucher today in Boots. Wasn't brave enough to try without buying something so bought some sweets for my daughter! SA put through till and looked puzzled. Asked her colleague and she said it must be honoured. SA thought it was great and said she would print off a voucher for herself!
Got two 50ml roll ons priced at £1.88 each for nowt!0 -
Used mine on Friday night at Waitrose, scanned through no problems and also took 79p off the shopping. The SA didn't even bat an eyelid.0

Just used my voucher successfully at Tesco. 2 rolls ons for the massive price of 12p, what a bargin, they were £1 each and voucher redeemed at £1.88.
Many Thanks Claire21 for the original post and everyone for their comments. I've been bitten by the money saving bug and been a long time lurker on this forum.0 -
Used mine at Boots, SA not happy, said I had to pay £2.15, asked why when I had a voucher to cover the £2.15. Eventually another SA said she had put one through earlier so to scan coupon. SA really not happy about it but it's not as if she is paying for it herself. Anyway bit of perseverance and it paid off, 2 for nothing, thanks ever so much.0

I don't know specifically about Tesco/Boots other retailers but at NEXT, all the transactions we carry out are randomly monitored and if we use a voucher/give a discount of some sort we could get questioned about it. So I guess that's why the SA's make a fuss about it because they may be questioned about it later on, although the till accepts the voucher at the time, it is their responsibility to check the terms and conditions etc.
But then some SA's are just generally mean0 -
