College past 19?

Hi,
My DH currently pays maintenance (CS2) for his 2 children. The eldest is part way through her first year of A levels. However, she is dropping the A levels to start a 2 year BTec course in September at college. This will mean she will be a year behind where she is now and will be there until just before she's 20. Will DH's payments for her cease on her 19th birthday even though her course will carry on for another year?
Thanks for any help

Under the current system, all NRP liability for child support payments via the CSA end on the first Monday after his Daughter's 19th birthday, regardless of employment/education status.
Therefore, his liability should then change from 20% to 15% of his net pay for his remaining child.
Be aware that a BTEC National Diploma, National Certificate & 1st Diploma are regarded as further education & that CSA liability will remain until 19. However, a BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) will not qualify for child benefit payments & therefore, CSA liability should cease on the 1st Monday in September that the course starts, regardless of whether his Daughter has reached 19 or not.
Obviously, he can still contribute to his eldest Daughter any way he sees fit without it affecting any liability to his youngest child.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

Not sure the exact name of it but it's worth 3 A levels so I think it will be one of the first 3
