in Cutting tax
Hi all,
You kindly helped me out with this last year.
Yet again, I've left it till the last minute (I know, I'm useless!!)
A couple of quickies if you can....
1. Vehicle depreciation. Bought it for 2300. was allowed 1000 against it in year one, you guys kindly calculated 250 for me last year, but I don't know how to calculate this years? Current value is about £1500
2. First 2 years I allowed £12 per month for premisis cost. gas and elec etc. I have a dedicated office in the house and my garage is used solely for work, tool and materials storage and a workshop to make certain items off site. This also has lighting and power. What do you think I should allow for this year??. If it helps, my gas is about 70 per month and elec about 60.
Link to previous thread, should it help. Many thanks again.......:D

1. You deduct the 250 from the brought forward bok value, not your value of the van. Without knowing what that was, cannot help.
2.Again, this is up to your judgement - you should be including the additional cost of using all these areas of your house for business and be prepared to justify this if challenged. £12 doesnt sound very much for a room and two outbuildings.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
thanks for the help and sorry for the belated reply. Return went in on time and should be ok.........;):DHappiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0
