Hi Everyone,
I receive a company car allowance and can claim via the company 18p per mile for additional mileage outside of going to and from work.
I currently travel to another location before going to my stated place of work and have being doing this since May 2009.
The mileage claim constitutes 93 miles per day. Obviously this has amounted to a serious amount of miles.
Can you please advise when can I claim for this mileage. Can I submit a P11D for the period April 2009 - April 2010 and receive a tax rebate this year?
I look forward to your advise.
Paul

Where you stop off at a business premises before you get to work, the mileage over and above your normal home to work mileage is deducted. So, if your journey to work is 20 miles and the first call is 15 miles away, you cannot claim a deduction for those miles. Where the first call is 25 miles away, you can claim for the extra 5 miles travelled.
A P11d is submitted by your employer - an employee makes a claim on a form P87, or a piece of paper, either is fine as long as the claim is clearly laid out.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
