Hi all
Last September my work changed my paydate from the end of the month to the middle of the month. I was given plenty of notice so it's not their fault but I didn't set up my new standing order to move my bills money into our bills account in time for my mortgage payment to come out.
I realised the next day and called GE-explained what had happened and paid there and then with my debit card. Then kicked myself for being so stupid and lazy and fully expected to have a late payment deservedly registered on my credit file.
Our current mortgage deal ends in October so I just checked my credit file (experian) to see how bad the damage was but there's no late payment on there. Any ideas why?
I'm debating whether I need to request my equifax file as well to double check it's not on there-but if it isn't then if we're applying to new lenders do we need to mention it? I don't want to lie, but if GE weren't bothered by it there's no point volunteering info unnecessarily and increasing the cost of our next deal.
Any pearls of wisdom gratefully received!

I remember 10 years ago due to moving bank accounts, a mortgage payment went out late to Standard Life Bank. I phoned them up and I think they told me that provided a payment was received during the month then it was not a problem. I don't think that mortgages work in quite the same way as being a day late on a credit card for example.0
