I Need Help

I have been a member of these forums for years now and finally admit.

I need help.

I was paid on Friday and have £24 in my account to last the month, I thought I had just started a reasonably well paid job but I just cant make ends meet.

To top it off I have today discovered my two front tyres on my car are illegal and before anyone suggests living without it I need it to get to work every day.

What do I do?

    Hiya. Scarey isn't it.

I wouldn't worry to much about it there are some amazing people on here who will be able to help you.

It might be an idea to post a SOA on here so people can see your income and outgoings and advise you on the best course of action

    Take care Jo x

Looking at your SOA your main issue is the car - i know you need it BUT Petrol is a huge sum of your wages each month any way of reducing this? do you use to get to and from work? or use it in employment?

Is your groceries right? this is low for a monthly shop.

Mobile is alot i`m guessing it is contract?! Can you not cancel due to financial issues and go payg and reduce what/how you - reduce to £10 a month (for now). This would be a saving of £50 a mth!!

Water rates are higher then normal do you have arrears? it should be approx 19 a mth.

Tv licence is high it should be approx £12 a mth.

Wow you really are tight with money right now if no changes can be made here, i am not sure what to suggest tbh. Have you anything you can sell? do you have any savings?

Any chance of overtime or maybe even a job closer to home!

I called my mobile network up and asked to speak to someone in charge, just said i couldn`t pay and was unable to continue due to financial issues. Took a lot of hard going but They cancelled.
    When does your contract finish?

PS if your front tyres are illegal then you really can`t use your car!!!!!
Your life, other peoples lives and a hefty fine is around the corner if you do - can you borrow money from family to get these done?

My brother is going to lend me some to get my car back on the road, a lot of my debts stem from before I had this job and once I get back on track things will improve but I am right on the balance and things like car trouble arent helping

Your water is way, way too high. Get a meter, it's free and if you find it's costing you more than rates (unlikely) then you can have it taken out wihtin a year for free.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I will have to ask the landlords permission but I will do that

I am thinking the only way to survive this month is to take some time off work so I can save on petrol costs
