clearing balance

i replied to a company regarding wiping out my balance on my credit card
they are looking a fee of £295 to be paid up front to take the case to court and guarantee to clear my balance this company is kerobo can anyone advise

Now that's out the way, ill explain.

Debt cant be wiped off, all they can do is check if it is unenforceable. Which costs just £1 to do it yourself - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=26867731#post26867731

'Unenforceable' means a lender can still chase a borrower for payments and register non-payment with credit reference agencies, but it cannot use the courts to enforce the debt.

So by thinking it is 'wiped off' when it is not and you stop paying, you are defaulting and ruin your credit file for 6 years.

The only way to get rid of debts is to pay them back in full, or make full and final settlement offers.
