  • Hi Earthmother- Happy New Diary :)

Re the nappies- i would go to the incontinence adviser. I am sure you will be entitled to help with these. My daughter was born with a bowel condition and we had a great adviser.

    Thanks everyone :)

Ruby - the kids are just 4, 6.5 and almost 9

Scrooge - it's from a Paolo Nutini song - it just seemed to sum it all up for me.

Bob - we don't have any advisor or anything - we raised the problems he's having (absolutely no sensation of needing to do, or even actually doing, anything) with the paed (under him for HMS) and he, as usual, was useless - effectively gave me basic potty training advice as if I was a new mum with a 2 year old. The HV is off the radar - haven't been able to even get a phone call returned for months. Playgroup are doing what they can without much luck, SEN is good, but unable to help on this one, so we're having to try to start again with the GP - who of course doesn't want to get involved as others further up the tree already are (even though they're about as much use as a chocolate teapot). In the meantime, we go through a pack of Drynites (only ones that fit) in around 2 days (they only have 11 in a pack).

A nice big positive to start April - I've just sent all the April payments through the online banking - and our total debt is now under £10,000!

On the downside - DH is back in hospital - he didn't quite make the year :( - he's been in a week tomorrow, and we've been told it'll be another week at least. Hopefully he'll be back out before it starts affecting his DLA etc, otherwise things could get a bit scary.
