You mentioned needing to buy books for uni every now and again, are there any of your old books that you can sell? Also selling some of your CD's/DVD's and general ebay madness might go some way to getting a bit more income until you have found a second job?0

Wow jamie... your story has scared me a bit and made me really want to take action! thanks...
I am only at uni a couple of days a week so I just drive to the station yeh. Apart from that I use for my car for general going about, but I do need it as I work 20 mins away and sometimes have 6am starts so can't always rely on lifts...
Yeh i really am starting to wonder how I will afford the car in the long term especially if things do go wrong... I am going to look at selling it and see if theres a cheap one i can run around in... as much as it pains me lol
Sounds like the right thing to do to me
Imagine how it will feel in a few years, having finished uni, no debt, compared to how it could be.0 -

Some years ago my car was getting on a bit I decided to insure it third party instead of fully comp. I was quoted £172 I asked what it would be if I took my OH off as a named driver since she never drove the car,I was quoted £195. If you do sell your car in future get a quote with your mum as a named driver and you as the policy holder.0

haha jas as good as it sounds I can't quite see myself cycling along the m8 at 5.30am! lol :P
Just gonna spend this afternoon looking into selling it and buying a cheap one, or maybe trying to reduce my insurance (unlikely)0
