in Loans
Over the past few months I have started a new job. The job doesnt pay as much as it used to and I have just been managing to pay the bills. That is until I received some charges on my current account. As things are tight I have missed 3 payments on a loan I have with NatWest. I have tried to contact NatWest recently to sort some way of getting straight. However I have received a letter today stating that Capquest are now acting on their behalf and that they will be contacting me shortly.
I have checked my Experian credit file today and it shows the 2 late payments.
I have taken a second job to help make ends meet, however what I really need to know is:
1. Will Capquest ask for the entire loan to be repaid in one go;
2. Do I have any recourse as I have not been contacted by NatWest, as they did not change my address when notified;
3. Most importantly, will they register this as a default?
I work in a regulated role and think if I have to try and explain a default to my employer, I will most likely lose my job.
Definitely not an ideal situation for anyone and your advice will be welcomed.
Thanks

This isn't what your going to want to hear.
CapQuest are a bunch of prats who will hound you until you eventually give in. There total scum of debt collecters. They still hassle my fianc! for a debt that was cleared then sold on!!
So erm yeah they probably will want it paid in full.0 -
I agree, Capquest are very nasty, never speak to them over the phone, always in writing. I know its too late but you should have contacted Natwest from day 1 to sort out something. Capquest cannot ask you to repay the loan in 1 go if you haven't got the money. If you agree a plan with them, which is going to be very painful, they will always want more. I have had to deal with them a few years ago.0

There is a lot I could and would have done differently. I blame no-one but myself, however would really like to not lose my job. Do you know if they register a default?0

Generally, their register a default against an account after 5/6 missed payments and not late payments. If you post your thread to the "Debt Free Wannabee", you'll get more help there0

has the debt been sold?0
