Debt diary virgin..be gentle!!

Hello everyone
Well like many debt diary virgins before me I have been reading these inspirational diaries for quite some time now, and I have finally plucked up the courage to take the plunge. A little about me, I’m happily married, have a beautiful 1 year old daughter and we are in 27k of debt!!!! I know some of this debt was due to both my husband and I being made redundant last year, but the rest I couldn’t even tell you. I am so disgusted with myself for getting into such a mess, it really really upsets me at our financial position . It’s not like we even own our own home and have spent the money on doing it up, we rent, I would love our own home but how could we possibly do that and pay off these debts?? Thankfully OH and I are back in full time work, he works a lot of overtime to bring in extra £ and I am taking any course thrown my way to increase my salary. I feel like my life is on hold because of this huge debt, as much more than our own home – I would love to try for another child towards the end of the year. But am I being stupid for wanting another child when we have so much debt? We are actively paying off these debts, and have been for 3 years. Sadly before we started getting on the straight and narrow with our debts we missed a few payments here and there so our credit isn’t the best. Our interest rates are ok for the debts that we are paying, all except the credit card which I am desperately trying to move. So that’s me.. all £27000 of me!
