How To Pay Class 4 NI?

How is class 4 NI normally paid or collected? I have paid the class 4 NI amount due using the Billpay service and put the payment under "Self-Assessment". Is Class 4 normally paid as part of your tax due under Self-Assessment or should I have paid this separately under NIC/PAYE. No site I can find seems to have definitive guidance on this. Would really appreciate advice from people in the know and with experience. Thanks in advance for any help.

Normally due under SA ... and shown when you file your SA Return. If you've quoted your UTR under the BillPay payment ... it should settle on the right record.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I did quote the UTR, so fingers crossed it will. Still think the FAQ and other sources could be a lot more clear on this as have read pretty much conflicting advice on what one would consider "reliable" sites.
