Won but unable to claim!!!

Afternoon, I would like some advice please guys.

Yesterday I received a WEM at 11.22am from The First Post telling me I had won two Invictus Premiere tickets but had to reply by 1pm otherwise they would be reallocated!
As I was at work this was not possible but when I returned home at 3.30pm I still called and was advised the tickets had been reallocated but to send my details incase they too did not reply. As the premiere is tomorrow and I have heard nothing I am assuming I will not recieve them. :mad:

However , upon checking the terms and conditions this morning it clearly states 'The winner will be notified on 27th January 2010. If the winner is unable to be contacted within 24 hours, another entrant will be selected.'

Apart from complaining (I have sent an email via the site and replied to the WEM to ensure it is recieved and increasing my chances of a reply) is there anything else I should do?

Really appreciate any advice and thanks to all those wonderfully kind folk that post competitions :A

They must have contacted the winner on the 27th and they did not respond by the 28th so they went down the list

I think they will send u a lil something, sorry u had to miss the premier xx

A good year or so, i posted a daily crossword where we had to suss out 2 simple clues, what non of us that done this religiouly day after day realised was that first post had forgot to take off the mention of a prize as the prize part had ended.
A few of us complained as we were under the impression that as it was speed response crossword, we should have won by now, often somedays only 6 entrants.

We ended up being sent a bottle of bubbly as an apology. They apologised profusely.

Wait and see what they say, im presuming in your email u drew reference to the point thta u should have been told on the 27th, with 24 hrs to respond?

I could be wrong but I'm thinking the OP wasn't the original winner so they had to move fast to give the tickets away.

Thanks guys, rather silly but I hadn't thought about the fact that maybe I was not the original/first winner.

I did quote their own terms and conditions to them so will wait and see what their reply is and will let you know how I get on.

I was so excited when I first saw the WEM but I guess you win some you lose some.
