The Northern Bank have a 3 or 5 year Capital Bond where you put in the money and the amount of interest you get at the end depends on the rate of the FTSE at the end of the term - you could get 0% or 17% (over 3 yrs) or 35% over 5yrs.
Is anyone doing this or think it's a good idea?

If you want exposure to the sharemarket do it via a fund manager rather than a high street bank who will be taking a slice of your profit. I use Hargreaves Lansdown so you might check their website as a starting point.0
