You shouldn't have to pay for caller display- mine is free and was when I set up my BT account a few years ago.

From memory, you need to go here: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25504

Go to "home phone security features", and sign up for BT privacy at home pack, which is free and include caller display.

    Worth checking!
  • Thanks all.
Many kind and helpful replies, i'll look into blocking the numbers. We DO have caller display on the home phone, but i have an eager 13yr old who answers the phone hoping its for her, and then announces to me, in a loud voice "it's for you, it's asda credit card services" :(:(

Well by blocking your chasers, or requesting them to stop by letter, means even more chance it's for her lol or if it's for you, it will be a nice call. You both end up happy :)
Here to learn and pass on my experiences.
Had a total of £8200 of debt written off due to harassment during 2010 and 2012.
