Endowment misselling claim with no mortgage

We are in the lucky position of having paid off our mortgage. However, we are still paying three endowment policies, one of which is pre 1988, and another small one which is doing OK. There is one though which we were missold by Halifax Building society. Is it possible to put in a claim for misselling if you have already paid off the mortgage the endowment was destined to pay off?

Hi Manibee,
Yes, is the answer though if miss-sold any redress will only be calculated up to the point where the endowment was no longer tied to a mortgage. This being the case you may have been miss-sold but redress would notbe due as you have not lost out financially. It would then beup to you whether you surrendered them or not. You could post the details on this site and some one like Edinvestor will help you decide.
