Employer not paid me

Hi all
It seems like I am on here for a different question every five minutes these days so if you have seen my name talking about tenancy agreements or employment tribunals thanks for your help..
Now to the current problem. I started a new job on 1st December, it was a start up company and the owner really sold the job as an exciting opportunity and all that jaz, anyway, in December we were paid two days late because 'the bank messed up'. She sent me an email on Monday do give me notice because there was not enough work, which was fine because I had already found a new job, but now this month we were due to be paid on 28th but she has said that she cannot pay us and hopes to be able to pay us next week but she is waiting for some money and has offered no other explanation.
I am fully aware that I am extremely lucky to have found a new job which I start on monday, but that wont pay any of my rent or bills for this month, so my question is do I just have to wait to see if she pays me next week or can I take action like a small claim online now?
Thanks all

Far better and waiting and seeing.
If you dont have it next week then take further action.0 -
Thansk Anihilator, if it does not turn up and I take action, does it have to be a tribunal or can I do a small claim do you know?
Should also say that she has not paid the agency I came through and on monday they are starting legal action against her.0 -
Sounds like she has some serious cashflow issues. As Anihilator says I would wait and see, it seems the nicest thing to do if she has said payment will be there next weekk, however you are fully within your rights to take her to an Employment Tribunal for unpaid wages.0

Hi. I know it sounds like I am being a little unreasonable but she doesnt have cash flow issues. She had to provide proof of funds for a 2.6million office block purchase and I was told by the vendors solicitor that this had been provided. That has not yet completed due to land title issues, so it is not funds.
She has a history of non payment of contractor invoices. She admitted to me that she has her money sent over from overseas and that there would be tax implications for her transferring more money.
As with everything in life there are two sides to a story, but the long and the short of it is, she does have the money and it is the 2nd month running that pay has been late, but at least last month she did pay it but this month she is just being so vague and a tribunal will take so long so I was hoping that I could do a small claim.0
