Are things on the up?

I recently posted all my credit details at the hope of some advice as to if I had a chance of getting a mortgage with the current climate and my credit rating as shown below.

Today I thought whilst I was at my bank paying in some cheques I would ask for a little advice, the Halifax mortgage adviser took all my details and checked my credit report I earn 25K and wanted a mortgage to buy my council house.

The good news is that even though I have 1 year left on a CCJ for £300+ (paid) and I owe about 9k on my car I was accepted as an A1 (I think he said) mortgage application and have been given a mortgage promise of £97,975... he said that unless my credit went down hill before I applied this would stand to say the least I'm so thrilled that things are finally starting to work out for me and that sometimes its worth biting the bullet and speaking to your bank I've had been advised by some that I wouldn't get mainstream credit for at least 2 years, thank god I looked into it for myself.
