Can't help myself, but just wanted to add that I'm dying to know as well!
I get the picture people are using it for things they would have bought anyway- like insurance, train tickets, phone providers etc, rather than buying extra stuff. I could be wrong.
Someone also told me there were some free DVD trials on there, but I'm not sure how this works.

    oh thanks for that

might get cracking now then and see what i can get for free.

lynz you seem quite knowledgable on here, you had any experience of online food shopping, thinking of doing it cos then will get just what we need instead of me wanting chocolate all the time lol

    plus it will save petrol

    Big lad

    thanks for the compliment :D

Online shopping- right I did one once. With asdas as it goes.
the problem I had with it was that a) they did a lot of substitutions like I wanted skimmed milk, they gave me full fat- cant drink it/ wanted brown bread they gave me white etc b) quite a lot of the stuff had short dates on and I didnt have the space to freeze it ( pre LB moment, obv) c) you dont get to the reduced cabinets, and theres usually quite a lot of chicken & other meat in our reduced cabs, so you dont get to grab those with online shopping thing. plus you dont get to hand in all those money off coupons you find in the paper etc AFAIK.

So, its not for me. I do tesco 3 weeks a month, and farmfoods/ poundland/ morrisons one week, ( roughly) and it seems to work well for us. Plus i can put stuff back when Im in the shops, doesnt seem as possilbe online LOL

I do my online grocery shopping online with Tesco and I spend half what I did when I went into the shop! You can watch exactly what you are buying and are much more aware of how much you are spending. No nasty shcoks at the end. In fact if you start with the special offers your total normally goes down when you actually pay for it.

There is a button at the end before you commit the order that allows you to select what items can be substituted. I always click for no substitutions as I'm quite fussy and I've found that there is maybe one or two items missing each month but it's not too bad.

There is also the big added bonus that there are always codes for extra clubcard points, I usually manage at least 500 extra points (£20 in deals) with each order.

    Hope this helps.

that's what I thought. I know the free stuff is on there but I can't seem to find it. Did find some free samples of Whiskas kitten food, but seeing as I don't have a kitten it seemed a bit wasteful. There are some threads about the cashback sites on the Refferers Board, which I'm in the process of sifting for advice. Maybe that would help you?
I will be using it for train tickets though, and maybe for online shopping, although I'm still a bit scared about taking the plunge with that one.
