Every woman over 40 should take Evening Primrose Oil - good for your skin and when the dreaded M starts - helps with flushes. Also Soya Isoflavones are essential - only buy cheap ones from shops like Health Rack.

Thanks - I thought it was just me! By the way all those who are going through the menopause - what are the signs? Is irregular periods the first sign? My mother was 49 when the menopause started for her, so thought I might follow her - just need to know what to expect.

Have ordered mine. Doc says my FSH is normal but don't know whether I am just entering menopause so will give them a try.

My periods just stopped when I hit 50 after a year I had to go on HRT
daytime flushes but worse was the night sweats I did coming off HRT by using Black Cohosh but this did not work so I had to go back on the lowest dose of HRT but I really need to come off it now as I have been on it on and off for 7 years

with the menopause isnt it a family thing? like when ever your mam started you follow a similar pattern? as i have heard that some ladies have started the menopause in their late 20's. a very close biker friend of ours is only 41 and she's more or less over it...hadnt had a monthly in years...and she was saying that her mam went through it young.....i am sure i have read somewhere if you dont want to go to the doctor to find out you can buy a kit in the chemist....like a pregnancy test....
