I think it depends on the quality of the record + type of music/band etc e.g 180 g vinyl tends to be more expensive .....
I have bought loads of LPs for 50p per LP as well at charity shops.Try asking on hifi forumike the wam/PFM

Now with CD dying and downloads taking over vinyl is making a suprising come back. 2nd hand vinyl can be worth a few quid if it is stuff people want - I doubt Rick Astley / Spice Girls type pop is worth much. AS the previous poster says take a look on Hifiwigwam or Pinkfishmedia to get an idea.

popsike.com has a database of previous eBay vinyl auctions that have finished at more than £15 or so - searching on there will show if you have any valuable ones.
If you have any substantial quantity, it might be worth picking uip a copy of the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide, which is the industry bible - older editions can be had for about £10 second hand on eBay.
Bear in mind that condition is all important though - something that has a "book price" of £50 will be lucky to scrape a tenner if it's in poor nick.
