vauxhall diagnostics

wondering if anyone can help. my abs has come on in my 05 astra - i just want to find someone to plug it in and tell me what is wrong with it. vauxhall want to charge 60 + vat. does anyone know anywhere else that can do this?

Most independent mechanics and garages have computer analysis equipment;) phone around a few of your local garages and ask them, dealership garages are a rip off 90% of the time:mad: and the quality of workmanship is shoddy to say the least, it really pays to know a good car mechanic these days;) I don't know where you live but if its close to Stroke City in the North West let me know and I'll PM a contact for mine;)

Others on here should have a few recommendations for ones through out the country:)

EDIT: I see your location is Millisle so mine would be of no use to you.

my father in law is a mechanic so he can fix it for me i just need it diagnosed. the contacts he have say their machine wont read it because vauxhall have locked it to their specific machines or something stupid like that.

We got our vauxhall diagnosed this way with a mechanic in Mallusk, pm me for details if required.
