Thanks for the advice, I have a lot respect for Canon but having done a lot a research I will stick with the DSC-W1...main reasons: excellent reviews, compact, only brand I know which makes hi quality VGA videos in MPG format (>>click'n'burn>>play the video on my Divx player) and lastly...a Sony!0
