I have tried to write this thread a thousand times and couldn't seem to find the right words. I just wanted to thank everyone, how over the last three months you have all help me without knowing it. I haven't posted before because I found all the answers in the threads, (I have 'almost' read them all).
What I have realised is that unless you write down your thoughts you just keep it all bottled in. I went bankrupt in November 09 and the relief was enormous. In court It felt like I was in a dreamlike state, shaking and heart pounding. The clerk was lovely, and said in the five years she'd worked here she'd never been so busy, I remember thinking how sad loads of people are feeling or have felt the way I am. The judge asked me a question and I just stared at him and thinking "look there has been a terrible mistake, I'm fine sorry for wasting your time.." but I replied yes to the question and that was it, three seconds and that was that, all the worry, not eating, sleeping. I crept out of the room and though don"t get too excited they may call you back and say "fooled you, your not really bankcrupt". Waited for my file and went back to the clerk, we went in a small room and I spoke to the O.R. on the phone answered a few questions, the clerk said thats it, all I remember is thanking her loads of times. I then went to the court cafe had a coffee and a big bar of chocolate still shaking I looked at my Bankcrupsy order then thought I better leave so they don't take it back, and so I walked very briskly out of the court. It was a beautiful day, sun shining (I hadn't really noticed before), and then I remembered a saying my Grandma used to say
"REMEMBER THAT THERE IS NO REBATE TO LIFE, NOT FOR ONE SINGLE MOMENT YOU LIVE, SO WHY NOT ENJOY WHAT THERE IS TO ENJOY, AND FORGIVE WHAT THERE IS TO FORGIVE."
Once again thankyou all for making me laugh and cry at your posts, you have helped me more than you'll ever know. xx

Glad it all went smoothly for and that you are managing. We went BR in Nov as well, and the sense of relief was enormous. Hope it all goes well for you for the future.:pB&SC No. 298

Ifwishes.. I was the same as you, I didn't post until after the deed but I spent months before reading this forum and got all the answers I needed. This place is invaluable and as far as I'm concerned gives the best advice of anywhere, you just can't beat the depth of personal experience on here.
Well done on getting through it and good luck for the future0 -
This forum has taught us a lot of things in terms of financial matters. It also made each and everyone of us strong and responsible in dealing with all our financial crisis.Mr. Mulla0

Out of all your post, that said it all
It is not something you can convince anyone of, and it may not happen that day, or week, or month....but it will:)
Every case is different, some have an immediate relief, for others it takes time, in some case years (speaking from personal experience) depends on the situation, but it will happen. They claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?
Its too late, always has been, always will be.

I went br in Aug 09 & got a letter in the post this week to tell me that my BR was over!! I have been discharged from it all. Still can't believe it myself.
I have had a read back at my very first post & cannot believe that I was in such a dark place all those months ago & now the Sun shines for me everyday.
Good luck with your future & keep smiling

Congratulations! All the best and thankyou for your kind words

Thankyou ifwishes....remember that ``sunshine` moment. Whenever you feel down or fed up with life then recall it in your mind. BR teaches us a lot more than just the financial stuff.....life becomes so much more meaningful afterwards.
