i have all laminate and lino floors downstairs and bought a vax as i thought it'd be fantastic as i have 3yo and 1yo......erm its not!!! its more trouble and the cleaning fluid is expensive and not as easily accessible as they'd have you believe,the carpet fluid is easy to find...the fluid for hard floors isnt and if you have to resort to getting it from their website cost an extra 3.50 a pop in postage.
i now do all my floors in exactly the same way as rachieb.0 -

Its excellent. We are only on our second bottle of the fluid and have had the mop for approx 18mths. It is used dry daily then with the fluid when its marked/sticky which is often as we have two toddlers.
My OH works in a builders merchants so we bought ours there. I think you can search for suppliers on the web site.
Edit: we have never replaced the tissues as they are machine washable.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
