Hi, My parents have a 25 year mortgage which is coming to an end soon, but the mortgage lender say there will be a shortfall in the mortage and they will have to pay an extra £10,000 to clear it all off.
What can they do about this? will they have to pay the extra money to the lender?
Thank You

Is this because they had an endowment mortgage and the shortfall was 10k?
They have several options and should discuss these with an adviser who will assess their circumstances and find a solution.......0
