    oh dear canspendnomore! what a shame!

    hope it hasn't put you off os cooking - it's not your fault if there was a typo on the recipe but must have been soooo frustrating to have to bin the crumble. I always find this thread is the best place to get recipes as they're all tried and tested.

  • 200g flour to 75g fat doesn't sound too bad to me as it is roughly half the amount (although i must confess to never weighing anything-i always cook 'by eye)

    When i make crumble i prefer the method of melting the fat (and sugar if using, although i often like to use honey instead) and then tipping the flour into the fat and mixing till the cositency i like, i also often add oats to break it up a little bit.
