Century Life Endowment Funds - Anyone?

We have a £10K unit linked top-up endowment policy with Century Life [originally with Municipal Life before they went down the tubes!] which I would probably cash in but for the life insurance aspect, as it looks as if it will have a woeful shortfall. Anyway, at least for now, we're going to keep it and wondered if anyone has any knowledge of their funds?
Because it's so small I've not really kept my eye on the ball regarding which funds the premiums are allocated to but I've recently asked for details. The premiums can be invested in 10 funds shown as Century **** Life Series 2 - and we currently pay into the European, Five Star, Managed, Property, UK Growth and Prosperity Life European funds. Anyone any thoughts on which of these funds we should switch out of/into? I also notice that 3 of the available funds we are not currently in are managed funds by outsiders, namely Fidelity, Invesco and Perpetual - any thoughts on whether these are likely to be better bets than Centuary's own?
Were the Policy larger I would consider paying an IFA for advice but the surrender value wouldn't buy more than a crate of ale and a fish supper or two!! No harm in trying to improve that though!
Any thoughts - not advice gratefully received.

Take a close look at the Property fund's performance - these are usually a good bet at lifecos though there are a few exceptions.Invesco Perpetual's High Income fund is a long term top performer, if that's available.Trying to keep it simple...0
