Hi
Need a bit of help please. Have some salmon fillets I have got marinading in an olive oil based sauce. Recipe says to grill/fry the salmon but would rather do it in the oven. What is the best way? wrapped in foil or in a pyrex dish? Will it be too greasy if I don't fry it?
Thanks in advance.

I had salmon yesterday (marinated in a little oil, lime juice, grated ginger) and it was fab. I did mine in my remoska. However, I used to do it in the oven - and have done it both ways - sometimes wrapped in foil parcel and sometimes in a pyrex dish (covered or uncovered). I think I used to do it at 180C and check after 12 mins if uncovered. The parcels usually take 15-20 mins but keep it nice and moist. Just prod it with a fork to make sure it is nice and flakey and cooked right through. Enjoy.0

The advantage of wrapping in foil is that it saves on washing up and the smell does not go all over the house - you can either use foil or greaseproof paper - push came to shove you could even use dampened doubled up sheets of newspaper!
Whatever you use, wrap loosely and make sure you close the parcels well so it cooks in its own juices. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
