thanks for that tip, unfortunately we live in manchester and warrington so the cost of actaully getting into chester city centre and parking etc would prob outweigh the savings in that case. shame you cant prebook like that onlineMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Loads of kids free ones around. If you ask at any Lloyds branch for a 150 days of interest brochure - there is a free coupon on there for Chester Zoo child place. Also on all the free maps inside the zoo there are free coupons for kids.................ask them to pop one in the post.

Gill,
Be wary when you are paying to get in at the zoo. They are very clever with the wording on the boards displaying the prices, when you read it carefully you will realise that the prices quoted include a donation also. When you get to the ticket desk they ask if you are happy to make the donation. Most people asked when I was there thought they were refering to gift aid, which allows the zoo to claim the tax back from the govt and said 'no problem'.
Obviously I am not saying don't donate to a worthy cause, just be aware that you are doing so! If you say no to the donation, they just deduct it from the price. Enjoy your day and take a picnic basket, the food is extortionate! you can get a pass out to go back to the car and there are seating areas to eat at.0 -

Well when I went a couple of weeks ago that is exactly what I thought and was happy to oblige. However if what you say is correct (and I have no reason to disbelieve you) then what they are doing is wrong. Charity or not - I think you should be open about everything!!!
