Saving money in a true OS style...

We had planned to do a big online shop to cover our month's groceries to be delivered tomorrow morning, but upon sitting down to do four weeks' worth of meal planning, I realised this was going to be a LOT of work - for some reason meal planners always take me aaaages!
I debated with boyfy whether to still utilise the slot we had booked for a week's worth of shopping - as it is with Tesco on a Friday morning, it is £5.99 which I didn't know if I could justify. I couldn't find any codes for free delivery either.
Bear in mind this is with me being 9 days overdue with our second baby and the 'signs' having started last night, I was *still* prepared to go traipsing round the supermarket to save the delivery charge, even though all day today I have been getting early labour signs and would probably be walking round the aisles having contractions tomorrow in a bid to save myself £5.99...
Okay, so I know I have been getting into OS majorly but this is the sign of a true OSer is it not?! :rotfl:

Maybe if your waters go in Tesco's you'll get some freebies. Or is that just an urban myth? Good luck for the impending birth, hope it's quick and easy.Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

Not in M&S. Do your shop in Tesco's quick, then dive into M&S until your waters break. They do give freebies (or they did when I was expecting) And no, I wasn't in M&S when the time came
PS Good luck0 -

With my DS my OH insisted on us traipsing round shops while I was having contractios. I kept telling him that he'd deliver the baby before he believed I was in labour. Lots of shopkeepers looked very alarmed when they saw me leaning on things huffing and puffing:rotfl:
Still managed to get to hospital with a couple of hours to spare.0 -
My SIL went into hospital to be induced. They did her obs then told her they would induce the baby a little later as they were short of staff and didn't want to start her off when there was no-one to look after her. After checking it was OK, both my brother and SIL went out for a coffee as they didn't get the opportunity to do it very often. As they already have a little girl they always had to take her with them and she doesn't sit still very long for them to enjoy a coffee in peace. I believe they did a bit of baby shopping whilst they were out. Then she went back to the hospital, she was induced and had a little boy a short while later. DoddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Hmmm - ok, could that be a challenge?
A heavily pregnant woman goes into various shops with a water balloon under her dress Squeeze legs together and - freebies galore!
Would be interesting to see if you got away without actually saying your waters had broken, just let everyone make the assumption - that way you haven't lied....0
