We have used a similar pool for the children for three years. Don’t be tempted to not use pool chemicals the results create a lot of cleaning work.
I run the pool filter/pump for 6 hours a night. I use a chlorine ' floater' and 'bubble cover' (really does heat up the pool) when not in use. Once a week I test with test strips to check the ph level and free chlorine. Normally 'shook' the pool every fortnight and add 'flocculent'. I also advise you use a mesh rubbish remover (like a fine mesh badminton racket) daily - if the pool gets dirty and starts to go green it will need to be emptied, cleaned and refilled.
This all sounds a pain but takes about 5 mins a day!
I have bought chemical sets from Roy Waring (Tuxford) and online with http://www.swimmingpoolchemicals.co.uk0 -
We use these for our 12' pool:

We always put the cover on when not in use to keep the algae down! Afishing net is ideal for large rubbish - grass, leaves, etcI'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
