Time for a new Bed!...AGAIN

Hi,
I had purchased a memory foam divan from a small local shop about 3 years(max) ago. The mattress has completely 'bowed/dipped' in the middle- even though I turn it regularly, it is so thin and uncomfortable; so I am now looking for a new bed.
I have decided between these two:
Sensaform Galaxy- Sleepmasters
Silentnight Miracoil 7- Bensons for Beds
Could someone advise on which is better?
Many Thanks.

You should do a search on the forums about either of these makes, you will find both get very poor reviews.
You would be best to try for a decent pocket sprung mattress, anything from 800 - 1500 spring count. They offer very good support and should last 7-10 years.
To get better value for money, dont go to the multiple stores, but buy something decent from an independent store.
As a matter of interest what was the make of your old bed?0 -
Our bed is from Ikea, we`ve had it 2yrs now and its still as good.0

Was your old mattress a foam only one?
Greentea is right. Stay well away from both those brands (and Ikea) if you want a mattress to last.0 -
Hi Tim,
Seems to be a mattress mine-field out there ! Any opinions on the following that you could offer so I don't waste some of my hard-earned ? :
Airsprung Ferndown Memory Double Mattress
Rest Assured Double 1000 Pocket Orthopaedic Mattress
Rest Assured 1200 Pocket Latex Double Mattress
All of these are currently 'on offer' at Argos and have caught my eye maybe because of this. All 3 'allegedly' have 50% off plus there is a code for a further 15% off. I'm still not convinced though, and would like some expert guidance if you can assist ?
Many Thanks

Argos don't sell good quality mattresses.
Airsprung are fairly low end as far as quality goes.
As for Rest Assured, they are part of the Silentnight group. I'd suggest you do a search for them in the MSE forums.
If you want a good quality mattress at a low price, then avoid the big brands, and the big chain stores. Buy on line from a seller who gives a proper satisfaction guarantee, that allows you to unpack and sleep on the bed.
You will get far better quality for your money with smaller independent manufacturers.0
