Am I missing any good job sites?

I am looking for part time or casual work, every day I check the following
DirectGov
Jobs Today
Total jobs

I feel sure I am probably missing a few good sites , can anyone give me some more that might be worth checking. Its very frustrating this job searching. Many thanks

Thanks I forgot to mention that i do check the county council and local council sites. Is there a definitive site where the vast majority if not all the jobs get advertised? I guess the DirectGov site is the closest to that?

To be honest I'm not too sure what would be the best as I don't look for temp. work, but checking as many as possible can't hurt I'd hope? Also reed.co.uk, and are you registered with any agencies in your local area? Good luck!

How about take a shower, put on some smart clothes, and actually leave the house to approach businesses and shops. Walk in, ask to speak to a manager, just explain that you're local, looking for work, this place appeals to you because of x, y &z, do you have any jobs going Mr Manager?

How many other clowns do you think are sat around uploading average CVs onto the same jobs time and time again? With the current market you need to be pro-active. Clicking "Submit CV" does not equate to actively looking for work.

  • Hi
I would also try family/friend connections maybe even old work colleagues, often its who you know, not what you know, sadly.

Take a shower, how many other clowns, I dont know why you are choosing ro reply in this manner you objectionable idiot. I am 49 have been employed all my life, have a pension from my last job and am now seeking help in moving to the next stage of my life. I dont know why I am even bothering to reply to you, but thanks to all the others who have replied

It's sound advice. You just don't like the fact that it doesn't support your "I'll keep sending junkmail over the internet - that'll work right?" attitude towards finding a job.

Spamming your CV to loads of people via jobsites obviously isn't working for you. Most managers (if it even gets that far) will have the CVs go straight to a spam inbox anyway.
  • Proc , I dont want to get into an argument with you because you clearly have an opinion from what you have read from my original post. I would ask where I have stated that I have ever sent off my CV let alone multiple CVs? I dont know why you have chosen to reply in such an unhelpful way but I suppose that is your right. I have been on MSE for a while now and you are the only person who has ever been unhelpful or worse objectionable.

Just why is it you have formed this opinion of me and remind me where I have mentioned the CV??
