Well, from my own perspective both MM and Andrew have been excellent on here. Both voices of reason on here - they've asked all my silly questions without laughing (well without laughing in my face anyway!!
). Going to have to toss a coin in the new year to decide which one I ask to be my broker!
However, regarding the OP:
1. Go through everything (utility bills, CC's etc.) and see if you're getting the best deal. Individually you may only save a few pounds - collectively you may make a decent saving!
2. If you've got any "unnessary" expenses - magazine subscription etc. - cancel them. OH and I have made it a game; see how much we can "outsave" each other!!
3. Keep everything in writing - if everything goes wrong and the court gets involved, you've got written evidence to submit to show that you've made all reasonable efforts to maintain payments.
4. Check out the DFW board on here - lots of good ideas in there!
Good luck!!Never attach your ego to your position....0
