Megabus are using Virgin Trains for some of their journeys (some as low as £1) to London. Seems to be only midweek but what a bargain! Not sure if this is only temporary measure but have just booked a journey for February. You print off your confirmation with a reference number to use as train ticket.

I have a disabled railcard and with Mega Trains I can get a return with Virgin Trains from Birmingham to London for £12.50 on 10 February. A return with London Midland costs £7.90.
