If they are on JSA it is flat rate! If they are working then the tax credits are all counted, they are almost disregarded when on JSA.

so it is flat rate then isn't it as the OP is the NRPP and the NRP is the one which matters

If the PWC is not working is she claiming benefits? If she's claiming benefits, isn't she only allowed to keep £20 of the child support monies? So if your partner is prepared to pay £5 per week whilst on JSA, she's only out of pocket £15 per week, not quite as bad off as your partner as I'm sure he's out alot more than that.
  • Thanks everyone. Sorry I've not been on - had the children and I still have to work!

We don't get any form of tax credit. The pwc may be on benefit, I'm not sure.

Anyway there has been a development. Yesterday CSA wrote and said his contribution will be nil.

Today the CSA wrote and said he needs to start paying from 1 Feb and including the arrears his monthly payments are astronomical. The person he spoke to on the phone was desperately unhelpful and despite the fact he is on jobseekers, they are claiming he is still working. I'd like to see them try a DEO, they might wake up and smell the coffee when his ex company decline to do that seeing as they sacked him!!!!!! How they are going to take over a grand a month from his jobseekers fails me.

We've got enough to deal with apart from rank incompetence and its not as if he actually wants to avoid his responsibilities. So now I suppose I had better do a recorded delivery letter in a vain attempt to stop any further action - although I actually would quite like them to take us to Court over this.
