Is it me, or is this site VERY expensive?

I've not been on there before seeing this thread, and I can't see anything worth buying even with £15 off a £30 spend for the first order (obviously I'd be a new customer).

The electricals dept was extrememly overpriced, the childrens clothes far more than I would ever dream of paying in the high street...

I'm not trying to be the pessimist, just an honest question.. Am I missing something?

its a catalogue company so yes it is overpriced
they all are and thats how they make money

    overprice items
encourage those on low income to purchase and spread the cost to make it easier to pay

make even more money on the interest

welcome to the world of catalogues :-/

I got something in the post from them today proclaiming "Your Hi-Speed Microwave Cooker FREE!" I'd be interested to know if anybody else has seen this offer and what they make of it.

The accompanying flyer shows a picture of a microwave oven with a dish inside. At the bottom of the page, in small writing, I was puzzled to read, "Microwave oven not included, shown for illustrative purposes only!"

Would I be right in thinking that the freebie isn't actually a microwave oven but rather the dish shown inside it?! If so, this seems to me to be rather disingenuous. The flyer claims "your gift will enable you to: cook fabulous snacks in minutes..." Wow - that really is some dish!

However, also included is a £10 off discount on the first order. I may "buy" a £10 pair of jeans for nothing and claim my free dish!
  • Just placed an order and the £10.00 was deducted from the total - so fingers crossed i dont get a cancellation email.
