    As said before; tripe.

    As said before; your embarrasing.

As said before; just PM me and give the thread back to the grown ups.

    I'm embarrassing?

For someone in the military to conduct themselves in a manner where they have to resort to childish keyboard warrior tactics is embarrassing. Look over your initial post to me again and see how it is interpreted. That is embarrassing surely?

The come into my work comment. Was that a threat?

I have no intention of pm'ing you, what for?

Grown ups:rotfl: Step back into line soldier ;)

    Over and out. (Again)

To be fair, and in the hope to return this thread back to something close to topip, I didn't get the impression that mitchaa was having a go at the armed forces. Far from it, I felt that he was merely making a point that greater financial rewards should go to people who are clearly 'in harms way'. If that's the case, then I totally agree.

I made the point, it seems like years ago, that I felt a bonus was a much better way to reward their bravery. Surely better to receive rewards that benefit you now than one that you receive several years hence. It would then be upto the individual soldier to decide how it was spent, on a house for his family or invested for his old age.

I'd rather front line troops received a greater portion of the DoD budget than everyone receiving the same regardless of their theatre of operations. I know that they currently receive bonuses for being on the front line, but the amounts seem quite pityful for the job they're doing. Surely better to target the available resources than to blanket them across the entire armed forces?
