buy to let mortgages

Thanks everyone for your comments, I think I may not have expalined the situation clearly enough. So to clarify from the above thread.
a)My husband has 2 self employed incomes, 1 being the rented houses and secondly he is a self employed joiner.
b)We own and have rented out 8 mortgage free houses, we have had these for several years and are very easy run with good tenants.
c)I ran a ltd with a sizeable debt but closed it last year, we are trying to raise the capital to pay the bank loans off as we have the deeds to a ninth house we own as guarantee to the loan. I now have a well paid employed job.
d) we are looking at buy to let as with my husband having two profitable businesses which are self employed(and as we have a good accountant show little profit for tax!)it seemed the best route to release enough capital.
The reason for the bad credit score I think I pointed out is my fault as I had some health problems last year(stress related I am sure) and was lousy at paying my visa bill. My husband who organises all our other accounts has never missed or been late for any payment he has been due to make.
We earn more than we ever have now so are in a great position to take on this extra borrowing thus retaining our assets.0
