System Recovery 'D' drive

Options
I've started receiving messages on my laptop saying 'low disc space' on mu 'D' drive, which is showing 'red' and currently 3.62MB free of 9.99GB.
These are the files shown on the drive,Dell,Program files ,Sources,Tools,Users,Windows and one that holds 4 back up sets from 2007-2010,I'm assuming that these can be deleted but I am a bit worried that they may be required if my system failed ?
Thanks for any assistance.

Unless I'm mistaken (and it can happen!), the Dell Restore partition is a 'hidden' partition and therefore is not assigned a drive letter by the OS and cannot be viewed in the way other drives/partitions can in Windows Explorer.
The existence and size of a hidden partition can be verified however in the Disk Management Console (Start > Run > type 'diskmgmt.msc').
