I am thinking of buying a few pieces from the Next Opus oak range. Like this...

Sadly my nearest store only has a tiny home section with very little large furniture on display. Please if anyone has bought anything in this range, could you comment on how well made it is, do the drawers run smoothly etc. It is one the cheaper ranges they sell so I am worried it may be a bit rubbish - having bought plenty of Argos made-from-weetabix furniture in the past I hope to get something a wee bit better this time ( proper solid wood stuff not an option for my pocket at this time )
Thanks,
Slinky

I have seen the Opus oak and opus mango range built in the Next home store local to me in Northern Ireland and it's lovely!!
I think you would be very happy with it, definately not cardboard crap!! It's very solid, I was going to go for the mango stuff and only changed to the michigan range as I was given a house warming gift of money and splashed out on ready assembled instead.
I would recommend it to you

Thank you so much! I feel a lot happier now about ordering, I had hoped that Next would be far better than Argos but wanted to hear from someone who had seen it.0

oak effect finish and solid oak are two different things im afraid :money:squaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0

I totally agree with you squack, I was married to a wood-loving chippie for many years. Unfortunately I don`t think I would find solid oak furniture that was within my price range, well made and also available in such compact style. I am making do with this for a few years while I still have a young child and hopefully later on if my means have improved will upgrade to something better.0
