£25 Hauck Sport Pushchair Asda

I just ordered one of these to keep in the car boot and help with the baby on the school run. I thought they looked OK, basic but OK. But I found some bad reviews, so I dont know if to send it back. Anyone got one?

I thought a £25 pushchair was a bargain, and its lightweight, OK for holidays.

I had one a while ago for ds and I hated it, once he was in it was really difficult to steer. I ended up putting it on freecycle and got a maclaren off freecyle also. He was only 1 and not a heavy baby.

  • Oh no! Im getting it because my Maclaren is difficult to steer. Its going all over the place on the way up to school because the path is uneven! I will have to see what its like.

I got one of Kiddiecare but not used it yet (I'm pretty sure it is the same). My mum and OH both have and said it's fine. The back wheels are fixed so you can't steer with just one hand but this is replacing another buggy which was similar so not an issue for us. The reviews on Kiddiecare are much more favourable.

  • hi i bought one of these in asda - what a load of rubbish - it looks nice enough - but to steer it was hard work, and it won't go over the smallest of kerbs - you have to try and tip the buggy back - and as it quite flimsy its really hard to do. Returned mine to asda and had a refund!

I had one for my son as a spare when he was small, the wheel brake bar at the back makes it hard to get up & down curbs etc (ie no where to put your foot to push down on when you lift up/down) my mum hated pushing it too.I found it really hard to steer, it felt so square & don't get me started on getting on & off a bus with it!. Certainly no good in snow etc.Mine got made redundant after a couple of trips it felt like such hard work.

  • I bought this last year. The wheels went funny after the first use and it went in the bin. I was gutted as it looked really nice, unfortunately was a waste of £25, I got it from argos.
  • I will put it together and make sure I oil the wheels as mentioned in one of the reviews! The Kiddicare reviews are quite positive. Fortunately I dont walk long distances, I just hope its better than the Maclaren.

Come to think of it, I might get on OK with it as I liked my one with fixed wheels, it was like an old fashioned pram! Im wondering why its hard to tilt for the kerb though?
  • we bought one last year to take on hoiday to florida we took it out a few times over here and thought it was ok but on day one of the holiday crossing the road one of the wheels came off!!!!!!!!!!! them the other side wheel came off!!!!!!!!!

i can laugh now but i'm lucky i was not on my own and at a crossing!

my advice would be to send it back NOW!!!! lol

I thought it was hard to tilt because of the flimsy feeling frame & the brake bar at the back (squaring the pushchair) i think you will notice the difference going from a Maclaren.
